How to setup Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Install a compatible authenticator app, like Google Authenticator (iPhone / Android) on your smart device.

If you already have a live account, sign in using your username and password.

You should be prompted to set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) if you have not skipped this step in the past (if you have skipped the set-up in the past, navigate to your profile settings and click the option for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) then follow the steps below)

Click on your account name, then click on Profile Settings

Profile settings link

Click the link for Two-Factor Authentication

Profile Settings menu

Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) button

Enable 2FA setting

Using the authentication device you installed on your smart device, scan the QR code (if you are unable to scan the QRcode then click the “Can’t scan QR code?” in the CurrencyTransfer app and select the ‘Enter Setup Key’ option in your authentication app.

Either copy and paste or type in the code from the CurrencyTransfer app into your authentication app and press the Add button)

This will link your CurrencyTransfer app login to this authentication key enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) will also generate 10 backup codes that can be used in case you don’t have access to your authentication device. We recommend storing these codes in a safe place for future use if you need them.
